Setting Sail on an educational journey
A gentle, confidence-building start for new learners ⚓️✨
🗓️ Classes meet Monday & Wednesday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Our Preschool Prep class is designed for children who are ready to begin their school journey mid-year — whether they needed a little more time to warm up to the idea of preschool, were still working on potty training, or simply blossomed later in the year. This 2-hour class provides a warm, structured introduction to the classroom environment without the demands of a full 3-hour preschool session.
Now in its second year, Preschool Prep is not a program created “on the fly” — it is a thoughtfully designed bridge between the home environment and the structured rhythm of the classroom. The skills learned here pay dividends as children grow through Pre-K3, Pre-K4, Kindergarten, and beyond. 🌱📘
Using the Abeka introductory curriculum, students explore early-learning concepts from a Biblical worldview like:
-
🎨 Colors
-
🔺 Shapes
-
🔢 Simple counting
-
🧠 Listening & early reasoning
-
✏️ Fine-motor readiness
These concepts are taught through songs, stories, and hands-on activities that spark curiosity while building confidence and independence.
Perfect for children who:
-
Are young 3-year-olds who weren’t quite ready to begin in September
-
Are newly turned 4-year-olds who have not attended preschool before
-
Benefit from a gentle, shorter school day to build stamina and security 💛
Our Preschool Prep teacher, Ms. Kat, is an experienced children’s dance instructor and longtime Faithful Foundations parent — has been working hands-on in our classrooms since October to prepare for the arrival of your child. And truly, what better recommendation is there than a parent who believes in our program so deeply that she chose to join our teaching team? Her background in early childhood movement and creativity beautifully complements our warm, structured environment. 🎶
By May, students are:
-
✔️ Comfortable with classroom expectations
-
✔️ Confident in separating from parents
-
✔️ Engaged socially and emotionally
-
✔️ Ready to begin Pre-K3 or Pre-K4 with joy and excitement 🌈
Preschool Prep begins January 12, and we aren't just waitlisting, we are actively enrolling! 🚤📚
